Caring For Your Newly Painted Vehicle
The First Two Weeks
When caring for your newly painted vehicle, we suggest waiting at least two weeks before washing it. This allows the paint to fully cure. If it begins to get dusty or you find bird droppings on it, rinse it gently with a hose then dry it with a soft micro cloth designed specifically for cars.
When And What Type Of Cleaners To Use
After the first two weeks, you can begin gently washing your car, however, do not use regular dish soap or laundry cleaner. Use a soap specifically designed for cars like Mothers, or Meguiar’s. Start by soaking your vehicle with water, then wash your car using a soft cloth being sure to rinse and dry thoroughly.
When To Begin Waxing
It’s always best to wait for two months, before waxing your newly painted vehicle. We recommend using the best wax your budget can afford. A carnauba wax is preferable.
Storing Your Newly Painted Vehicle
Although, many are not able to store the vehicle in a garage, keeping it out of the sun is one of the best things you can do for a car’s paint. However, bird droppings are likely to occur when parked under a tree, so if possible the use of a carport or even the purchase of a covering can come in handy on those hot, sunny, summer days.
